Cecioni's Fantastic Guitars

In his series “Fantastic Guitars,” Italian artist Marco Cecioni reimagines the classic silhouette of the guitar using Plexiglas as a medium.

These semi-transparent, luminous sculptures fuse the elegance of design with a hint of musical reference, hovering between functional object and poetic artefact. Through the play of light, colour, and reflection, Cecioni’s guitars become visual harmonies — their forms echoing strings, frets, and sound holes, but liberated from acoustics.

Each guitar is not meant to be played in the traditional sense, but rather to evoke the presence of music in silence — a symbolic instrument that resonates in the space around it. With clean lines, sleek surfaces, and a bold use of transparency and internal colouration, Cecioni invites us to experience music not only as sound, but as an interplay of vision, volume, and light.
